ACT Test Prep

The best preparation for the ACT is excelling in a college preparatory curriculum.

However, intensive preparation is most effective just before the exam. There are many preparation materials/books and computer software programs, some of which are available at no cost. Additional resources and study materials are available directly from the ACT or SAT website as well and in the Guidance Department.

  • An ACT Prep Class is usually conducted by the OHS staff in preparation for the April and June test dates. Specific times and dates will be posted and announced prior to the prep class(es).

  • OHS provides students grades 10--12 with ACT Online Prep. The online program contains comprehensive review for each subject test (English, Math, Reading and Science) and practice tests. Students were provided with a user name and password to access ACT Online Prep in September. The website is www.actonlineprep.com. Students should use the information distributed by the Guidance Department to log in.

Wondering whether to test again? According to ACT, 55% of students who retest increase their composite scores.
